artwork > Port in a Storm

Port in a Storm explores site and situation, using graphite rubbings on paper and liquid latex cast impressions and prints on a one-to-one scale. Repositioning these doppelgangers in different locations from their place of origin, these artworks examine memory and re-creation, specifically how past history shapes the present and future outlook. While a dock is often a transition point between a body of water and solid ground, Port in a Storm underscores the human tendency to seek refuge and sanctuary in times of turbulence.
